Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 22, 2026 · How FocusAI handles your data at tryfocusai.com
We collect only what we need to run the product. We do not sell your personal information. This policy describes what we store, why, and how to request deletion.
1. Introduction
FocusAI ("we", "our", or "us") operates tryfocusai.com (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
2. Information We Collect
- Account information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Firebase Authentication.
- Product data: Goals, tasks, schedules, focus session history, and settings you create in the app—stored so the Service works across devices.
- Usage analytics: Anonymized or pseudonymous events (pages, features, session length) via PostHog to understand what to improve.
- Google Calendar (optional): If you connect Calendar, we read events needed for scheduling and create or update events for your FocusAI tasks. We do not use calendar data for advertising.
- Payment data: Billing is handled by Dodo Payments; we receive subscription status and billing country, not your full card or UPI credentials.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Provide, secure, and improve the Service
- Generate and personalize AI task breakdowns from goal text you submit
- Sync tasks to Google Calendar when you opt in
- Send product or account emails you request or that are required for the Service
- Measure aggregated usage to fix bugs and prioritize features
5. Google API Services User Data Policy
Use of Google user data follows the Google API Services User Data Policy (Limited Use). Calendar access is scoped to sync functionality only.
6. Data Security
We use HTTPS, authenticated APIs, and access controls appropriate for a early-stage SaaS product. No online service can guarantee perfect security; report concerns to [email protected].
7. Data Retention & Deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. Email [email protected] to request account and data deletion; we aim to complete requests within 30 days unless we must retain certain records for legal obligations.
8. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access or export personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Revoke Google Calendar access in Google Account settings
- Opt out of non-essential analytics where offered
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Significant changes may also be noted in the app or by email where appropriate.
