Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using FocusAI ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

FocusAI helps you turn goals into actionable tasks, schedule them (including optional Google Calendar sync), run focus sessions, and track progress. Features may change as we improve the product; we will not remove paid features you rely on without reasonable notice where practical.

3. Accounts

• Sign-in is provided through Google (Firebase Authentication).
• You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your Google account secure.
• You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the Service.

4. Free & Paid Plans

Free and paid tiers may differ in limits (for example, AI goal breakdowns per month). Plan details are shown at checkout and on the pricing page.

• Subscriptions renew monthly until you cancel — there is no long-term lock-in.
• Payments are processed by Dodo Payments. We do not store full payment card or UPI credentials.
• After cancellation, paid access continues until the end of the current billing period.
• Your goals and account data remain accessible on the free plan after cancellation.
• Refund requests: contact [email protected]; we review case by case.

How to cancel

1. Open the Dodo customer portal and sign in with the email you used at checkout.
2. Select your FocusAI subscription and choose Cancel.
3. Paid features stay active until the end of your current billing period, then your account moves to Free.
4. India (UPI Autopay): after canceling on Dodo, revoke the mandate in PhonePe, Google Pay, or Paytm if it still shows as active.

Self-service portal: https://customer.dodopayments.com/. You can also open Upgrade in the app and use Manage or cancel subscription. If the portal does not list your subscription, email [email protected] from your checkout email.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful purposes or to harass others
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or overload our APIs without permission
• Share account access or resell access to the Service
• Upload malware or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure

6. Intellectual Property

FocusAI owns the Service design, code, branding, and related IP. You retain ownership of content you create (goals, tasks, notes). You grant us a limited license to host and process that content solely to operate the Service.

7. AI-Generated Content

Task breakdowns and suggestions are generated by AI and may be incomplete or inaccurate. Review outputs before relying on them for health, legal, financial, or safety-critical decisions. You remain responsible for how you use the Service.

8. Google Calendar Integration

Calendar sync is optional. If enabled, we use Google Calendar API access only to read events needed for scheduling context and to create or update events for your FocusAI tasks. Revoke access anytime in your Google Account permissions. See our Privacy Policy for how calendar data is handled.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, FocusAI is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data arising from your use of the Service.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if required for security or legal reasons. To delete your account and data, email [email protected].

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
